She was born June 16, 1925 to the late Russell B. Farthing and Dorotha (Moore) Jackson. She was married to Russell J. Bane on November 29, 1946, he preceded her in death on December 29, 2000. Betty worked at the Original Tractor Cab Company from 1964-1973. She then worked as a cutter for Schnadig Corporation from 1973-1987. Betty enjoyed bingo, cooking and most of all, her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Sande (Steve) Land of Rushville, 3 sons, Rusty (Debby) Bane of Pontotoc, Mississippi, Rick (Brenda) Bane of Seymour, IN and David (Angie) Bane of Rushville. 8 grandchildren, William J. (Jeanine) Bane, Amy (Chuck) Wilson, Valerie (Joe) Findley, Bill (Sara) Bane, Mike Land and Karena Binder, Patrick Land, Ashley Bane and Michael Daubenspeck, Matt Gilliam and D.J. Hall.
In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by a brother, Clark and 2 sisters, Martha and Rita.
Services will be held at Moster Mortuary, Rushville, Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 1 PM. Friends may visit the mortuary Monday evening from 4 – 8 PM.
Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery in Rushville.
Memorial contributions may be made to Russell J. Bane Family Memorial Scholarship Fund thru Rushville Boys and Girls Club or a local charity of donor's choice.
