Floyd M. "Bud" Chambers, 92, Grand Forks, ND, died Tuesday, April 3, 2012 in Altru Hospital of Grand Forks, ND.

He was born October 14, 1919 in Eldred, MN then moved to a farm by Crookston, MN with his parents, Earl and Jane Chambers.

He joined the MN National Guard in 1937 and was put in Federal Service in 1941 with the 217th Coast Artillery. After the service, He graduated from aviation school in Minneapolis, MN. He became an aircraft mechanic and pilot.

Floyd married Jeanette Bye in 1946 and moved to Grand Forks, ND. In 1951, he became a Ford sales representative until 1957 when he went into insurance sales. He sold his insurance business in 1980 and retired.

Floyd is survived by his children, Greg, David and Jana; 6 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sisters, June and Irene and a brother, Dale.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette; sister, Lola and brother, Bill.

Service of Memories will be 2:00 PM Saturday, April 7, 2012 in Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks, ND.

Visitation will be for the hour before the service in the funeral home.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery of Grand Forks.
