Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late J. Stanley and Florence M. Fields Helverson.
Mr. Helverson was a machine operator for a number of years at the former Fretz and Renninger clothing companies in Quakertown until his retirement in 1965.
A former East Rockhill resident, he was a lifetime member of the Paletown Rod & Gun Club in Quakertown, where he served as a committee chairman on a number of committees.
Surviving are two brothers, Louis Helverson of Quakertown and Raymond Helverson of East Rockhill.
Services will be 11 a m Thursday at the Jeffrey A. Naugle Funeral Home, 20 N. Ambler St., Quakertown.
