ROY – Sarah Elizabeth Simpson Eames age 92, returned to her Heavenly home peacefully on March 29, 2012.
Sarah grew up on a farm in Syracuse, Utah and as the oldest daughter of John George Simpson and Edith Elizabeth Hardy Simpson, she learned how to work hard and help raise her siblings. Her mother taught her how to sew clothes and make quilts. Sarah graduated from Davis High School in 1938, completed beauty school which was followed by business school, finishing in 1941.

In 1942 she married Darward Dale "Bill" Eames in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they raised nine children in a home filled with love and respect. She made birthdays and holidays so special. Each night she prepared a delicious home cooked meal that the family enjoyed together. Her talents were many and she taught her daughters to embroider, quilt, crochet, sew, cook, wash and clean.

She loved to sing and happily sang as she worked around the house and made home a loving place to be. She would often say "A woman sets the tone of the home". She had high moral values which she instilled in her children. She truly was an extraordinary mother and homemaker.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and filled many callings including, Primary teacher, Relief Society teacher, ward Relief Society counselor and president and counselor in a stake Relief Society presidency. Sarah and her companion Bill served five missions together to England, New Zealand, Australia, Salt Lake City Square and Washington D.C. Temple. Following their full-time missions, they served in the Ogden Temple as ordinance workers and did genealogy work together. Sarah was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Sarah and her sweetheart Bill were married 60 years.
