Harriet L. Batey
FORSYTH, MT. ---- Harriet L. Batey, a member of the Forsyth Senior Citizens, settled in 1935 on a ranch at Rosebud Creek and settled.
In 1968 she moved to Forsyth.
Born at Gale, Yankton Co, South Dakota, a daughter of Charles and Louise Rambow, she grew in the Fort Rice and Mandan, N,D., area.
After attending the normal schools, at Bismarck, N.D., she taught in Montana rural schools.
She married John Batey in 1922 in Miles City, MT.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Batey of Rosebud, MT, and Donald Batey of Colstrip, MT.; a daughter Mrs. Carol Breeden of Friday Harbor, WA.; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Leona Reed of Richland, WA., and Myrtle Kirk of Winoa, MN.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Beal's Mortuary Chapel.
Burial will be in the Forsyth Cemetery, Forsyth, MT.
