CHARLESTON - Barbara Anne Replogle, age 77 of Charleston, went to her Heavenly Home on Monday, April 2, 2012 at her residence and in the comforting presence of her loving family. Visitation for family and friends will be held this evening, Thursday, April 5, 2012 from 5:00 - 7:00 at Adams Funeral Chapel in Charleston. Services honoring and celebrating her life will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday at the Funeral Chapel with Reverend Mike Southards officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Cemetery, Charleston. It is requested that memorial gifts in her honor be made to Carle Hospice or to a Church or Charity of the donor's preference. Gifts may be left on the memorial table at the visitation or service, or mailed to Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Drive, Charleston, IL 61920. Barbara was born on October 1, 1934 in Charleston, one of nine children born to the late Roy and Mabel (Fasig) Endsley. On April 5, 1953 she married Clinton Replogle and for the past fifty-nine years they have enjoyed life not only as husband and wife but as the best of friends. In addition to Clinton she is survived by a sister, Janet Scribner of Champaign; a brother, Larry Endsley and his wife Janice of Charleston; a sister-in-law, Myrna Shriver of Conroe, Texas; and several very special nieces and nephews and their families whom she dearly loved. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Don, Robert and Jack Endsley; and three sisters, Norma Logue, Bonnie Babbs and Doris Newell. Barbara attended First Christian Church in Charleston for many years. She excelled at being both a farmer's wife and a homemaker. She was a marvelous cook and the wonderful aroma which often filled her kitchen meant the enjoyment of delicious baked goodies. She loved her home - it was always immaculate and well kept, creatively decorated and filled with warmth and love which made you feel both welcome and comfortable. Barbara also enjoyed flower gardening and she was as meticulous about her flower gardens as she was her home. She and Clinton shared a love for traveling and they traveled extensively. Their travels took them throughout the United States and abroad with a visit to Istanbul, Turkey as one of their most memorable. Barbara loved her family dearly and she and Clinton shared a special relationship with their nieces and nephews. She was a blessing to her family and friends and she leaves with them an abundance of treasured memories.
