He was born Nov. 28, 1925, in Crystal, the son of Robert and Lavina Hubbard Bills.
During his working years, he worked in the construction field, but more recently worked as a carpenter before retiring in 1989. During WWII, he served with the United States Army and was in the 102nd Airborne. He also was a member of the Howard City VFW Post 3306.
He is survived by his sons, David and Deb of Howell, Wayne and Michele, James and Brian all of Howard City, daughter, Lavina Bills of Belmont; 11 grand children and five great grandchildren; four brothers, Robert and Alice Bills of Brohman, Ray Bills, Roy and Arlene Bills, Roger Bills, all of Howard City, sisters Louise and Fay Culver, Loretta and Ronald Scram of Howard City, Luella and Melvin Ludlow of Orleans, Lorraine and Phillip Moore of Cedar Springs, many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Raymond, son Bruce and daughter Katherine.
