John E. Massey of Wyandotte died at 7:40 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2003, at St. John's Hospital in Tulsa after a sudden illness. He was 72.
Massey was born Oct. 30, 1930, in Jerusalem, Ark., to Edgar D. and C. Alma Massey.
He worked for Yellow Freight as a truck driver. He attended Seneca, Mo., Assembly of God Church and Word of Life Fellowship of Sand Springs. He was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason and a Shriner of the Abou Benadhan Shrine Temple of Springfield, Mo.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen King and Kimberly Del, both of Sand Springs; two brothers, Bill and Dale Massey, both of Seneca; three sisters, Dean Smith of Oklahoma City, Gail Massey of Greenville, Tenn., and Julia Krutsinger of Joplin, Mo., and three grandchildren, Jacob and Jami King and Joshua DeLozier.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church in Seneca with the Rev. David Emigh officiating. Burial will be in Seneca Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Josh DeLozier, Jack Massey, Harold Massey, Brian Massey, Dale Massey and Bill Massey.
Arrangements are under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home of Seneca.
