Funeral services for Mrs. Vinnie Crump, 65, were held at Hunters Creek Church near Carnesville Friday, August 7, with Rev. George Thurmond, Rev. James Whitlock and Rev. Johnnie Slocum officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were John Crump, Harold Crump, George Sosby, Morris Edge, Morris Lee Whiten and Broughton Andrews.
Mrs. Crump died at the home Thursday afternoon following an illness of three months.
The former Miss Vinnie Williams, she was married to Samuel Luther Crump, Sr who preceded her to the grave.
Survivors include 6 son, Knox Crump, Ashland, Arch Crump, Toccoa, Fred Crump and Nat E. Crump, of the home, Samuel Luther Crump, Jr. of Toccoa, Jonah Crump, Shinglehouse, Pa; two daughters, Miss Katie Crump of the home, Mrs. Aubrey Pruitt, Toccoa; eight sisters, Mrs. Eliza Hemphill, Carnesville, Mrs. Emma Bush, Mrs. Nancy Andrews, Mrs. Frances Whiten, Mrs. Lydia Moose, Mrs. Bernice LeCroy, all of Toccoa, Mrs. Bertha Garrison, Clarkesville, Mrs. Addie Edge, Hogansville.
