Martha L. Barton, 70, of Saxton, died July 11, 1987 at the Homewood Retirement Center, Martinsburg. She was born April 16, 1917 in Saxton, the daughter of Robert M. and Ora L. (Fink) Breneman. On Aug. 13, 1941, she was united in marriage to Dr. Charles C. Barton at Snow Hill, Md, He preceded her in death April 13, 1978. Surviving are three children: Robert B. of York; Rebecca L. Giles of Mohnton and Charles C. Jr. of Saxton. Three sisters survive: Mrs. Rosamond B. Steele and Catherine B. Spencer, both of Saxton and Eleanor B. Whitfield of Fredericksburg, Va. She graduated from Saxton High School in 1935 and from Hood College in 1939 with a degree in sociology.
