A son of Michael B. and Anna M. (Shaffer) Breneman. He was united in marriage with Ora L. Fink on October 2, 1915.

Mr. Breneman was an active longtime Bedford County businessman. He was President of the First National Bank of Saxton at the time of his death.

He graduated from Saxton High School, attended Susquehanna University, and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School [of finance] in June, 1907, and began his career in banking the same year.

He was survived by his wife and four children: Martha, wife of Dr. Charles Barton; Rosamond, wife of Robert Steele; Catherine and Eleanor, wife of Carey M. Whitfield, all of Saxton.

Also surviving him were two brothers and a sister: Professor P. B. Breneman, State College; Glenn S. Breneman, Austin, Texas; and Blanche English, Saxton.

Funeral services were at the Huff Funeral Chapel, Saxton, officiated by Rev. Thomas Burns, Jr. and Rev. A. C. Thompson, B. D. Interment was made in the Odd Fellows cemetery, Saxton.
