She was born Florence Ellen Margaret Ross on Nov 13, 1911, in Hays to Albert T and Henrietta (Stone) Ross. She certified at the Teachers Normal School, now Fort Hays State University, and taught for 11 years in one room schools at Hyacinth, Yocemento, Beaver Bank and also in Ellis.
She entered the Congregation of Saint Agnes at the age of 30. For 38 years, she was an elementary teacher and principal, secondary teacher and guidance counselor in Wisconsin Catholic schools. She served on the staff at Nazareth Heights from 1981 until she retired in 1987.
Survivors include two sisters, Charlotte Dinges, Hays, and Thelma Aryon, Milwaukee.
She was preced in death by five brothers, Albert, Walter, Raymond, Eugene and Wilfred.
Services were July 14 at the Holy Family Chapel at Nazareth Heights in Fond du Lac.
