Pocahontas Record Democrat - Thursday , November 8th, 1951 - Funeral services for Ted Lilly, 64, well known Fonda resident, were held Wednesday Oct 31 from Our Lady of Good Counsel church. The Rev Fr J.J. Howley officiated. Pall bearers were 6 nephews: Alex, James and Tom Lilly, Robert and Edward Kelly and Tom Ashley. Burial was in Mount Zion cemetery with graveside rites in charge of Ray Murphy post of the Fonda American Legion
Ted Lilly, son of the late Mr and Mrs. Alex Lilly, died Oct 28, at the Veteran's hospital in Des Moines, after a long illness. Mr. Lilly was a veteran of World War I.
He is survived by two brothers and a sister: Joe Lilly of Laurens and Martin Lilly and Mrs. T.D. Kelly of Fonda.
