Initially worked at Betty Lee's Beauty Salon in Barre (established by her sisters, Anne and Elizabeth). Later she studied the art of electrolysis at the Kree Institute in New York City
In 1956 she married her husband in Amarillo Texas and the following year they relocated back to Barre where she continued her profession
Participated in Heritage festivals in the Barre area and also planned special Lebanese banquets to raise funds for the St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. In 1975 she traveled to Memphis and personally presented Danny Thomas with a $10,000 check for the hospital from the Lebanese culture of Barre.
Enjoyed bowling. playing cards and cooking Lebanese fare for her family
Survived by her husband of 53 years, Edwin; her 2 sons and their wives; 4 grandchildren amd a great-grandson.
Predeceased by her sisters, Elizabeth Shadroui, Anne Sawaya, Azzie Younes, Andrea Mansur, Mary Corey, Josephine Allen, Leza Petell, Julia Twombley and her brothers, Tony, John and Peter Shadroui.
Interment - St. Monica's Cemetery in Barre.
