Mr. Althen was born May 24, 1882, in the Town of Mishicot, a son of the late Henry and Christina Meines Althen. In his earlier years he assisted his father on the farm. Later he engaged in the draying business between Mishicot, Two Rivers and Manitowoc, retiring 14 years ago.
His only survivors are 25 nieces and nephews.
