Cynthia Lee Richards Miller was born February 10, 1964, at Womens Medical College Hosptial in Philadelpia, PA. At the age of 16 she obtained her EMT and volunteered at Exeter Ambulance Corp, in Reading, PA. She attended Millersville State College where she met James O. Miller, while volunteering at West End Ambulance. She and Jim, worked together as EMT's and taught hundreds and hundreds of EMT students.
She married Jim Miller on August 27, 1983. She obtained her RN in 1987 from St. Joseph Hospital School of Nuring, working in the Emergency rooms of Lancaster and York Counties, PA. She obtained her Pre Hospital Registered nurse certification and worked thousands of hours answering 911 calls. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Millersville University.
She went on to obtain her master's degree in Nursing informatics combining nursing and computer sciences at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Her career was very important to her but not as important as her family. Her mother and father, her sister and in laws, and most importantly, the opportunity she had to be a part of her neice and nephews lives.
