Mrs. Carrie Taylor Paulk, 87, of Pembroke, North Carolina passed away Friday, September 15, 2000 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Paulk was born December 26, 1912 in Homestead, Florida to the late Solomon M. Taylor and the late Missouri Ambrose Taylor. Mrs. Taylor was the widow of the late Wilbur W. Paulk. She had lived most of her life in Irwin County and was a former employee of Weaver Milling Company. Survivors include: son, Wilbur Eugene "Gene" Paulk, of Pembroke, N. C. and daughter, Jessie May Showalter of Fayetteville, N. C.; sister, Inez Taylor Harper of Douglas, Georgia; 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren also survive. Graveside services were held at Irwinville Cemetery in Irwinville, Ga. Paulk Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
