Margaret Sumner McLean, wife of Col. Eugene E. McLean, the engineer of the city Finance Department, died yesterday at her home, 353 West Fifty-seventh Street. Mrs. McLean, who was seventy-six years old, had been a resident of this city for thirty-five years. She came of a military family. Her father, Major Sanford, was in the Mexican and civil wars, and her brothers in the civil and Spanish-American wars. One brother, Gen. E.V. Sumner, is on the retired list, and S.S. Sumner, Major General, is in command of the Pacific Division, with headquarters at San Francisco. The funeral services will be held at Syracuse.
