Mary Cecelia Morrison, age 89, entered into rest on March 24, 2012, at her home in Corning, Iowa.
Mary, the daughter of Ernest and Grayce (McCarty) Ury was born April 4, 1922, in Wiota, Iowa. She married John Clinton Morrison on August 16, 1941.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J.C., in 2008; grandson, Jeff Kresnik; and her brothers, Merle and Leo Ury.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Bill (Kathy) Morrison, Matt (Diane) Morrison, both of Corning, Tom (Maria) Morrison, of Council Bluffs; daughters, Connie (Bill) Russell, of Anita, Iowa, Monica (Jim) Hughes, of Glenwood, Iowa, Mary Jo "Jody" (Mike) Hughes, of Council Bluffs, Colleen "Peppy" Kamerzell (friend, Jay Malone), of Council Bluffs; brother, Richard Glen Ury, of Aumsville, Ore.; sister-in-law, Helen Coughlin Morrison, of Omaha, Neb.; 23 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; her very special home caregivers, hospice nurses, and many friends.
Mass of Christian Burial Services will be held at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Corning. Inurnment will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Corning. Memorials may be directed to the family to be determined at a later date. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., on Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at Pearson Family Funeral Service of Corning with Rosary at 6 p.m.
