Albertus "Bert" J. Haats, age 94, of Willmar, died Friday afternoon, November 2, at Rice Care Center in Willmar, where he resided for...several years.

Funeral services (were) Tuesday, November 6, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Willmar with Rev. Steve Bielenberg officiating. Interment (was) in Fairview Cemetery in Raymond.

Albertus "Bert" Johan Haats was born December 11, 1912, in Raymond, Minnesota, the son of Haat and Ipkea (Sapp) Haats. He grew up and received his education in the Raymond community. He was baptized and confirmed at Bethany Reformed Church in Clara City. On December 28, 1935, he married Mildred B. Henslin. Bert worked in construction and farmed near Maynard. In 1976, he retired from farming and moved to Willmar. Bert later worked for Holiday Inn, Super 8 Motel and Chappell Central, and Natvik Supply. He was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Raymond and Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clara City, and a current member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Willmar. He was also a member of Lutheran Brotherhood.

Bert enjoyed farming and keeping his fields, yard and buildings neat and clean.
