Funeral Services were conducted Monday, at his home here for George Burk, 78, who died Sunday night.
Mr Burk, who was born and reared at Newport, Tenn., is survived by one brother, Jim Burk, of Newport, Tenn.; six daughters, Mrs H. Y. Williams, St. Augustine, Fla; Mrs Fannie Sweet, Enoree; Mrs Ethel Teague, Woodruff; Mrs Fred Lawrence, Enoree; Mrs Henry Ball, Newport, Tenn.; and Mrs Janie Hance, Enoree; three sons, Charlie Burk, Laurens, Roy Burk, Enoree, and Hogan Burk, Newport, Tenn.
Pall bearers at the funeral were Fred Lawrence, Charlie Lawrence, Pal Godfrey, Bernard Teague, Pearce Hall, and Jesse Green.
Burial was in the Old Rhodes cemetery.
