OBITUARY OF MRS. ROWNTREE

Mrs. Mildred Jane Rowntree died at her home near Garfield Monday morning of this week after a long spell of suffering. Funeral services were held at the Baptist church in Larned by the pastor, Rev. W. T. Vanover, assisted by Rev. Danner of the Methodist circuit of Larned.

The maiden name of the deceased was Mildred Avary, and she has lived in Larned and Pawnee county since early in her life. She was first married to T. W. Sidebottom, but a separation was granted a number of years ago, and on Dec. 26, 1904, she was united in marriage to Charles B. Rowntree, who survives her, together with one child, a son three years old. She leaves two brothers and a sister, John and Tom Avary and Mrs. J. T. Sparks, together with a large circle of friends and acquaintances, to mourn her death. She united with the Immanuel Baptist church at Lone Star, Pawnee county, and was baptized March 12, 1896.

We join in sympathy for the bereaved ones, and pray that God may comfort and console them in this hour of their great bereavement.
