OBITUARY OF N. AVARY
DIED - At Larned, Kansas, on January 31, 1903, Nathan Avary, aged 74 years.
Nathan Avary was born in Amelia county, Virginia, on June 1, 1902 (1829), where he lived until he was two years of age. From there he went to Tennessee, where he lived eight years. From Tennessee he went to Clinton county, Kentucky with his parents where he lived until he was 21 yeara of age. From Clinton county he went to Green county, Kentucky. At the age of 22 he professed religion and joined the M. E. church. At the age of 30 years he was married to Mildred Walthal, of Green county, Kentucky. To them was born six children, four of whom died when infants. His wife, Mildred, died August 14, 1867. February 25, 1869, he was married to Adah G. McInteer, of Hart county, Kentucky. To them was born six children, three of whom died when in infancy. From Green county, Ky., he moved to Larned, Kansas on April 30, 1886. His wife, Adah G. Avary, died on June 18, 1894, at Larned. He resided at Larned until the time of his death. He leaves five children, Mrs. Mary T. McInteer, of Larned, Mrs. Mildred J. Sidebottom, of Rozel, Mrs. Ulah B. Baker, of Larned, John K. Avary, of Larned and Thomas J. Avary, of Larned.
