Taylor J. Kemp Dead.

Taylor J. Kemp, 425 Lincoln, an employe of the city water department, died at 11:30 o'clock Tuesday night in the Newman Memorial County hospital, after an illness of eight weeks.

Funeral services well be held at 3:30 at 3:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon in the Arundel Avenue Presbyterian church. Rev. C.B. Willming, of Reece, former pastor of the church will conduct the services. Interment will be in Memorial Lawn cemetery.

Mr. Kemp was born in Lyon county, November 7, 1875 [year different from grave stone]. He was the son of Joshua and Mary Ann Kemp. He was married to Miss Catherine Thompson, May 4, 1904, in Emporia. Mrs. Kemp survives him. He is also survived by a son, Thomas W. Kemp; seven daughter, Helen, Mable, Mary, Irene, Kathryn Frances ad Esther Mae Kemp, and five sisters, Mrs. Mary King, Harlington, Texas; Mrs. Louie Jones, Hugoton; Mrs. Edith Dixon, Plymouth, and Miss Delia Kemp and Mrs. Sadie Ryno, Emporia. Mr. Kemp was a birthright member of the Friends church and a member of the A.O.U.W.
