Ivan Bridges, 59, died June 8, 1995, at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita. He was born Aug. 20, 1935, at Fairport, the son of John O. and Mable (McMillan) Bridges. He was a lifetime resident of the Fairport and Russell communities. He graduated from Paradise High School. He worked as a truck driver and in the oilfields for many years.

Survivors include one son, Todd Bridges of Hays; four daughters, Barbara Ehrlich of Russell; Jennifer Aller of Cresco, IA; Pam Gage and Tina Marie Bridges, both of Gothenburg, NE; one brother, Herbert Bridges of Medicine Lodge; two sisters, Betty Hudson of Aurora, CO; and Fannie Parsons of Russell; one half-sister, Mary Huffman of Plainville; one stepsister, Dorothy Jo Williams of Irving, TX; and 15 grandchildren.
