Fannie J. Parsons, 65, died Aug. 15, 1997, at Hays Medical Center, Hadley Campus. She was born Sept. 1, 1931, at Fairport, the daughter of John O. and Mable (McMillan) Bridges. She grew up in Fairport and graduated from Paradise High School. She and her husband lived in the Russell area where they owned and operated Parsons Tank Service; she was a bookkeeper for the business and continued to operate it for a few years after her husband's death. She married Edgar Blaine Parsons Nov. 2, 1950, at Ft. Sill, OK. He died Sept. 12, 1990. Mrs. Parsons was a member of Order of the Eastern Star at Bunker Hill and VFW Aux. of Russell.

Survivors include one son, Martin B. Parsons of Russell; two daughters, Sheryl Bendickson of Huntsville, AL; and Judy Cable of Russell; one sister, Betty Hudson of Aurora, CO; one half-sister, Mary Huffman of WaKeeney; one stepsister, Dorothy Jo Williams of Irving, TX; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Herbert Bridges; one sister, Cordelia Olson; and one granddaughter, Denise Bendickson.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tues. at Pohlman's Memorial Chapel in Russell. Burial will be at the Fairport Cemetery.
