Gertrude M. Glain, 97, of the Care West Nursing Center in Quincy, California, died on Saturday, May 21, 1994 at Care West Convalescent in Quincy.
She was born on January 30, 1897 in Britton, South Dakota. her family moved to Mentor in 1900, and then moved to Fertile.
She married local jeweler N. P. Glain in Fertile and the couple raised their family there. They moved to Crookston in 1943.
She entered the Linnea Care Center in St. Paul in 1985 and moved to the Care West Nursing Center in 1987.
She was employed for ten years as a sales person for North American Life and Casualty Insurance.
She was a member of Fertile and Crookston Lutheran Churches and she was active in the Ladies Aid and Bridge Clubs.
