Stricken while talking to a neighbor whom she was visiting, Mrs. Anna Bortzfield, seventy-eight, 728 E. End Ave., fell from the lawn chair on which she was sitting in the yard of Mrs. Robert Cunningham, and died at 7 p.m. Saturday. Dr. J.W. Toomey who was called, pronounced the woman dead. Dr. A.V. Walter, county coroner, said death was caused by a heart attack. She was the widow of Ezra L. Bortzfield and is survived by one son, A. Roy Bortzfield, formerly of College Ave., now residing at Philadelphia. She was a member of the Conestoga Methodist Church. (Lancaster New Era - May 15, 1944)
