Sostia was a loving and giving person. This was evident thru the many years of outstanding service and dedication at the Los Lunas Training School and later retiring from ARCA. Sostia enjoyed spending time with the mentally challenged individuals that she worked with.
Sostia is survived by one son, Gilbert Baca and his wife, Lucy, three daughters, Mary Ann Vaisa, Diane Sánchez and her husband, Raymond and Terry Rae John, eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, sister, Beatriz Silva and her husband, Gilbert, brother, Joe Jirón, brothers-in-law, Tony Baca and his wife, Sophie and Eddie Baca and his wife, Lucille, sisters-in-law, Eloisa Stephans and Margaret Romero and many nephews, nieces and friends. Sostia is also survived by her devoted and constant friends, Mary Driggers and Adela Baldonado and their families and her caregiver, Rose Chávez. "

All services will be held at Our Lady of Belén Catholic Church on Friday, March 30, 2012 beginning with a visitation at 9:00 a.m. with a rosary to be recited at 9:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. with Father Stephen Schultz presiding. Interment will follow at the Casa Colorada Cemetery.
