Funeral services for Annie Ruth Cook, 89, of Barnell, will be held three p.m. Thursday, February 21, 2008, in the Folk Funeral Home chapel, Williston, with burial in Seven Pines Baptist Church Cemetery. The Reverends Dan Fogle and Billy Mew will be officiating. The family will be receiving friends from six to eight p.m. Wednesday, February 20, 2008, at the funeral home in Williston.
Miss Ruth died Tuesday, February 19, 2008. Born in Barnwell, SC, she was a daughter of the late Hiers Martin Cook and Maggie Parker Cook. She retired in 1983, having worked for Allied Department Store in Barnwell for many years. She was a member of Rosemary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her brother, Lawrence "Jack" and Hazel Cook of Barnwell; a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Lucy Hartzog, Grace Anderson; brothers, James and George Cook.
The Folk Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
