Eli Alvarez, 24, of Lubbock, formerly of Amarillo died Saturday, May 8, 2004.
Evening services will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Trinity Fellowship Church North Ministry Center with Phil Mercado, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Llano East Cemetery.

Mr. Alvarez was born in Amarillo and lived here most of his life. He moved to Lubbock two years ago. He was in the concrete construction business.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Nettie Alvarez and Celia and Jesus Flores.

Survivors include his father and stepmother, Tony and Mary Alvarez of Lubbock; his mother, Irma Flores of Amarillo; three stepsisters, Alicia Alvarez, Patricia Chavez and Anna Ortiz, all of Albuquerque, N.M.; his grandparents, Wanda and Celestino Alvarez of Lubbock; two sons, Anthony and Isaiah; and a daughter, Stephanie.

The family will be at 2908 Detroit.
