CROSS, Lloyd U. - Of Flint, age 84, died Sunday, November 26, 2000 at his residence. Funeral service will be held at 2PM Thursday, November 30, 2000 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Reverend Thomas Harvey officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Genesys Hospice. Visitation 5-8PM Tuesday and 12Noon-3PM and 5-8PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Cross was born in Caro, Michigan on October 6, 1916, the son of Charles and Beulah Cross and was a resident of the Flint area most of his life, spending his winters in Florida. He married his wife on June 6, 1937. He was a member of Central Church of the Nazarene. He was an avid shuffleboard player and golfer. Mr. Cross owned and operated Lloyd's Restaurant and Buffet in Flint for 25 years. Surviving are his wife; 4 children, 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Charles and wife Emma of Florida; sister, Geraldine of Florida; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Floyd; brother, Leonard and sister, Aleta.
