METTER -- Mary Williams Martin, 98, died Aug. 3 at Chatham Nursing Home.
The native of Ben Hill County lived most of her life in Candler County. She was a homemaker and the oldest member and a charter member of East Side Church of God in Savannah.
SURVIVORS: four sons, Daniel Martin of Cobbtown, George S. Martin Jr. of Dearborn, Mich., George Clifford Martin of Springfield and David Martin of Thomaston; two daughters, Lillian Holder of Jacksonville, Fla., and Exie Mae Faircloth of Savannah; 34 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
VISITATION: 6-9 p.m. today at Kennedy-Morgan Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel.
FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Friday at Kennedy-Morgan Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel.
