JOHN F. BALLIEU
BROWNSVILLE, March 16 - John Franklin Ballieu, 67, died suddenly this morning at the home of his wife's sister, Mrs. John Emery.
A native of Sundance, Wyo., he came to Brownsville last fall. He was a blacksmith and welder and later a sawmill operator. At the time of his death he was employed by the Lewis industry.
Besides his wife, Mrs. Victoria Micheau Melanson Ballieu, of Brownsville, he is survived by five children by a former marriage, Mrs. Nettie Olson, Charles Ballieu, Mrs. Helen Locke, all of Upton, Wyo., Gerald Ballieu of Chadron, Mo., and Mrs. Edith Strong of California; five step-children; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Nettie Van Lean, Hot Springs, So. Dak.; two brothers, Richard of Hot Springs, So. Dak., and Jesse of Portland, Ore.
Funeral services will be held, Sunday, at 2:30 p.m. at the Brownsville Community church with the Rev. Eunice B. Shaw officiating.
Burial will be in Pine Tree cemetery, Brownsville Junction.

BROWNSVILLE, March 19 - Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, at the Brownsville Community church for John Franklin Ballieu.
The Rev. Eunice B. Shaw conducted the service and there was special music by Mrs. Connie Stickney, organist.
Burial was in Pine Tree cemetery at Brownsville Junction.
Bearers were John Emery, Guy Tucker, Joe Cassidy and Percy Bulmer.
