Amanda Sebelien, 78, of Durant, passed away Friday, June 3, 1983, at the home of her son in Davenport.

Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, June 5, at Lacock Funeral Home in Durant. Memorials may be made to Davenport Visiting Nurses Association in her memory.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 6, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Durant, with Rev. Richard Simpson officiating. Pallbearers are Merie Meinert, Dick Bullard, Rollie Schneider, Roy Schlapkohl, Orville Wulf and John Keller. Burial will be the Durant Cemetery, Durant, Iowa.

Amanda Wulf was born March 31, 1905, in New Liberty, the daughter of William and Mary (Behrens) Wulf. She received her education in the Scott County schools. She married Louis Sebelien on August 28, 1924, in Davenport. The couple farmed in Scott County, until they retired and moved to Durant. Louis preceded her in death on April 5, 1979.

Surviving are one son, Virgil (Marilyn) Sebelien of Davenport; one granddaughter; three great-grandchildren; two sister, Edna (Ralph) Holling of Durant and Ella LaMaack of Mesa, AZ; two brothers, Charles Wulf of Tipton and Arnold Wulf of Davenport; and one sister-in-law, Edith Wulf of Davenport.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, Vineta Sebelien in infancy, one sister, Frieda Syring, two brothers, Henry Wulf and William Wulf, one sister-in-law, Anna Wulf and one brother-in-law, Louis LaMaack.
