Iola J. Copple, 64, R.R.9, (Hillcrest), Greensburg, died Wednesday, April 1, 1987, at 5:26 p.m. in the Decatur County Memorial Hospital.

She was born June 18, 1922, in Rushville, the daughter of Arnold and Minnie Pearl Ball Orme. She was the head housekeeper at the Greensburg High School for 15 years, and retired in 1983. She was a member of the New Point Christian Church.

She married Hardie W. Copple Dec. 14, 1940 in Newport, Ky., and he survives, with one son, Daniel W. Copple, Indianapolis; one daughter, Mrs. Jerry (Lucinda Sue) Andors, Yukon, Okla.; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was the last of her immediate family and was preceded in death by four brothers and two sister.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home, Greensburg, with the Rev. Mark S. Vice of the New Point Christian Church officiating.

Burial will be in the East Hill Cemetery, Rushville.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday.

The family suggests that those who wish to give memorials make them to the charity of their choice.
