Mrs. Deborah Lee Bowers, 44, of Walkersville, died unexpectedly Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Washington Hospital Center. Born March 30, 1967 in Frederick, she was the daughter of Richard Wayne Abrecht Sr. of Woodsboro and the late Penelope Jane Clem Abrecht. She was the wife of Darryl W. Bowers, her husband of 19 years.
Mrs. Bowers was a graduate of Walkersville High School. She was employed for 11 years at Citizens Care and Rehabilitation Center, Frederick. She enjoyed attending yard sales, going to the beach, taking care of her residents at work and spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband and father, she is survived by a daughter, Gabrielle Kari Bowers of Walkersville; 3 sons, Matthew Walter, Joshua Adam and Ethan Thomas Bowers, all of Walkersville; 3 sisters, Barbara J. Crummitt of Frederick; Angie M. Abrecht and Amy K. Weddle and husband Todd, all of Thurmont; 2 brothers, Richard W. Abrecht Jr.. and wife Sherry of Emmitsburg and Michael E. Abrecht and wife Mary of Woodsboro; father-in-law, James Bowers of Myersville; mother-in-law, Mary Louise Latona and husband Leo; grandmother-in- law, Margaret C. Young of Gore, VA; sister-in-law, April Abrecht of Berkeley Springs, WV and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by a brother, Patrick E. Abrecht.
