Mrs. W. H. Roy Dies at Home Here Tuesday
Mrs. W. H. Roy, 71, died at her home on South Smyth street at 12:20 a.m. Tuesday. She suffered a severe stroke last Saturday and never regained consciousness. Deceased is survived by her husband (William Hiram) and five children, Mrs. Chas. F. (Annie) Perry of Houston, W. C and T. H. Roy of Mart, E. A. Roy, and Mrs. J. A. (Ethel) Huff of Fort Worth; a number of grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; five brothers, Lee, Henry and John Mills of Mart, T. W. Mills of San Benito, and James C. Mills, of Houston; and two sisters, Mrs. D. O. (Berta) Chenault of Mart and Mrs. C. E. (Francis) Vickers of Mexia. Funeral services were held in First Baptist church of Mart, conducted by Dr. C. A. Sutton, assisted by Minister O. C. Hartsell, at 3 p.m. Tuesday. Interment in Mexia cemetery. Pallbearers: J. O. Bartlett, L. R. Dean, Rex Martin, Charlie Cooper, Frank Johnson and Guy David.
