Joseph Nicholas Lyons Sr came to Barren County Ky and took over several hundred acres of land at one time started a seminary, married Elizabeth H Norvell daugther of Hugh and Susannah Norvell of Virginia. He lived less than hundred ft from Lyons Cemetery. Joe built Lyons school he started the Lyons Cemetery. Info kindly donated from Mr. James Richey as per notes 1999 Robert Gillan.

Located on the back side of a farm owned by Minnie Elmore on Lyons School. At least 29 graves marked

PLEASE JOIN! Their prices are very reasonable. The David Lyons in Barren County is a twin to my Joseph N. Lyons, both born 19 Aug.1759 in Morristown, NJ to Stephen Lyons who died in Mercer Co., Ky. My Joseph was in Barren Co. in 1810 then went back to Mercer and/or Clark Co., KY. was the father of Joseph N born ca 1798. When you go to the Lyon(s) website you need to know that we are descended from Henry Lyon profiled in "Lyon Memorial Vol. II. Hope this helps.
