Ella Mae P. King Long, 84, of Pulaski, died Tuesday evening, March 20, 2012, in LewisGale Hospital-Pulaski.

She was born in Snowville Jan. 23, 1928 and was the daughter of the late Jehu Thomas Phillips and Maude Long Phillips.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Ann King.

Surviving area daughter, Wanda Lynn King of Dublin; sons and daughter-in-law, John Thomas King of Richmond and Cecil Wayne and Tina H. King of Pulaski; brothers, Tom Phillips of Dublin and Dewey Phillips of Radford; granddaughter and spouse, Laura Beth and Brian Parnell of Hillsville, and great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Parnell and Cody Parnell, both of Hillsville.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 24, at noon, from the Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Sam McCracken and Mr. Steve Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. Visiting will be Saturday at Stevens Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the service hour. Flowers are appreciated or memorial donations may be made to the New River Valley Agency on Aging – Friendship Café Program, 141 E. Main St., Suite 500, Pulaski, VA 24301.
