Elise H. (Harvey) Jennings, age 85, Indianapolis, Indiana passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2012 in the St. Vincent Hospital Intensive Care Unit, Indianapolis, Indiana.

Elise was born August 31, 1926 in Rosenberg, Texas to Velma and Edwin Harvey. After graduating from high school, she attended the University of Texas. She married Richard (Dick) L. Jennings, son of Verner and Pearl Jennings, December 16, 1950 in the chapel on Keesler Air Force Base, Biloxi, Mississippi.

Besides being a loving wife and mother, Mrs. Jennings worked in various office administrative positions, including bookkeeping machine operator and general office manager. She also ran her own business making custom draperies for several years.

Elise was an avid genealogist and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). Also, she was active in 4-H as a club leader in both New Jersey and Maryland, and awarded the status of Maryland 4-H All-Star.

After raising a family and living in Lanham, Maryland for 39 years, in March, 2005, Elise and Dick moved to the Robin Run Retirement Village in Indianapolis, IN.

Elise is survived by her husband Dick Jennings; brother Edwin L. Harvey, Jr. and wife Destra (Bunny) of West, Texas; sister-in-law Yvonne Harvey of Jewett, Texas; daughter Cynthia (Cindy) J. Grimm and her husband Robert (Bob) L. Grimm and granddaughter Katherine E. Grimm; son Thomas (Tom) R. Jennings and his wife Sarah Liu Jennings and granddaughter Elise M. Jennings and grandson Joshua L. Jennings. Elise was preceded in death by her parents and four of her five siblings, all who lived in Texas.

Her ashes to be interred at the cemetery in Lodi, New York, Dick Jennings' home town.
