LONG ILLNESS ENDS; MRS. GEO. MCMULLEN DIED SUNDAY

Mrs. George McMullen died at her home in Woodland township Saturday evening at 8:00 o'clock, death being due to stomach and other complications.

Mrs. McMullen was born October 11, 1856 in Astoria township and was married to George McMullen December 11, 1887, and to this union four sons were born, namely; Earl, Ralph, Roy and Ray. Besides her husband and children, she leaves to mourn her death six brothers, Dave Danner, of Highmore, South Dakota, Jess Danner, of Littleton, Solomon Danner, of Astoria, Henry Danner, of Elmira, Mo., and Nathaniel Danner, of Belmont South Dakota, and three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth France of Canton, Mrs. Samuel Bollinger and Mrs. Julia Lowe, both of Astoria.

Mrs. McMullen had been ailing for several months and for the past two months has been bedfast. While her sufferings were great, yet she bore them patiently. She was a kind and loving wife and mother and was held in high esteem by her many friends. She was a member of the Church of the Brethren and was a woman of strong Christian character. Her life was gentle, but like the still waters, it was deep. In her heart of hearts she carried those she loved and her hand was never weary, her step never failed to ministering unto, caring for, waiting upon those who were in any way dependent upon her.

Funeral services were held at the Woodland church of the Brethren at 3:00 o'clock Tuesday conducted by Elder S. G. Bucher. Interment in the Woodland cemetery.
