Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Masonic Cemetery for Charles W. Jackson, 85, of Bowie, Md., a former Des Moines resident who died of a heart ailment Sunday at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Jackson was born in Cheyenne, Wyo. He lived in Des Moines 25 years and had also lived in Lincoln, Neb. He was a retired passenger agent for the Union Pacific Railroad in Wyoming and a member of the Wyoming Consistory, the Za-Ga-Zig Shrine here and the Lincoln Masonic Lodge in Lincoln.

Survivors include a daughter, Marian Jeanne Tow of Bowie; a sister, Madeline Schroeder of Palisade, Neb.; and four grandchildren.

Westover Funeral Home is in charge of service arrangements.
