HENRY CLAUS ARP
Henry Claus Arp was born February 20, 1869, in Osterbruck, Germany.
He was baptized and confirmed and at the age of 16 came to America to make his home.
On December 5, 1899, he was united in marriage to Miss Emma W. Karass in Clay county, Nebr. Ten children were born to this union. Two sons and his faithful and beloved wife preceded him in death.
After farming for many, many years in the Harvard vicinity he retired a few years ago to a well earned rest to his home in Harvard. He was highly regarded as a successful farmer, a good neighbor and a friend of the church.

He leaves to mourn his sudden death: five sons, Jack of Sutton, Albert of Grafton, Herman of Pueblo, Colo., and Bill of San Francisco, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Anna Ballard of Casper, Wyo., Mrs. Martha Hoppens of Harvard and Mrs. Rose Stephens of Delano, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Orlo White of Sioux Falls, S. Dak., and Mrs. Henry Helzer of Clay Center; 34 grandchildren, 7 grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
