Funeral arrangements were incomplete late yesterday pending the arrival of a son from Little Rock, Ark.
Mr. Spence was an active worker in the Methodist Church and was well known in Steele and in Osceola, Ark., from which place he removed here a number of years ago.
He was born in Tennessee in 1869 and was married to Miss M. Lacy on April 10, 1895. To this union four children were born, one of whom, Mrs. M.E. Driver of Osceola, preceded him in death.
Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. I.M. Greer of Harrisburg, Ark.; two sons, H.B. Spence, deputy constable at Steele, and Roy W. Spence of Little Rock, Ark., and four grandchildren. Mrs. A.B. Rhodes of Caruthersville is a niece of the deceased.
