Mrs. Norman (Mary Ann Morley) McQueen - Monday, Loren Morley received a letter from his nephew, Joseph P. McQueen, giving some of the particulars of the death of his mother and Loren's sister, Mrs. Norman McQueen. Her death took place Dec 23, 1903 at St. Edwards, Neb., at the home of her son Theodore and was caused by an internal tumor rupturing a blood vessel, so the physician thought. She was on her way back to her home in Omaha from western Nebraska and had stopped over in St. Edward to spend Christmas with her son and Family. She had not been well for some time, but did very little complaining and the family did not know her condition was critical. At about five o'clock on Dec. 23 she arouse from her chair to cross the room but collapsed and fell to the floor. A doctor was immediately called, but she was past human aid and expired at 10 o'clock that evening. The funeral was held Christmas day.
Mrs. McQueen was born in Ohio, but the greater portion of her life was lived in this section of Illinois. Here she was married and reared her family and the news of her death causes sadness in the hearts of all who knew her. She was about 70 years of age.
