Civic, Church Dies Suddenly
John C. Camenisch, 57, of 308 South Alta avenue, who apparently suffered an unexpected heart attack about 8 o'clock this morning while in his office at the Swiss .Sanitary Milk Company here, was pronounced dead on arrival at Ephraim McDowell Memorial hospital, where he was taken in an ambulance.
Born June 24, 1906, in Lincoln county, Mr. Camenisch and his brother, Paul Camenisch, who died in Dec. 1962, bought the Swiss Sanitary (Milk Company in Danville about 20 years ago and bad continued with that operation.
Widely known here for his many church and community interests, Mr. Camensich was an elder in Second Presbyterian Church; active in the Gideon Camp, and bad been , a member of the Danville Committee on Public Institutions. He was a member and a former chairman of the Advisory Board of the Danville Corps of the Salvation Army and was serving on boards of the Synod of the Presbyterian Church at the time of his death.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Anna Katherine Caminisch; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas Strange, Laurel, Md., three sons, John M. Camenisch and Bruce Camenisch, both of Danville, and Paul F. Camenisch, a student at Yale University, New Haven, Conn.; two brothers, Richard Camenisch, Lincoln county, and Robert Camenisch, in Brazil, and a sister, Miss Lucille Camenisch, also in Brazil, both as missionaries, and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 o'clock on Monday morning at Second Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Joseph O. Rand, the pastor. Burial will be in Bellevue cemetery.
The body is at Stith Funeral Home.
The family requests that expressions of sy mpathy be made in the form of contributions to the Presbyterian Child Welfare Agency at Buckborn, Ky. Adv.

Danville, Ky. John C. Camenisch, 57, owner of Swiss Sanitary Milk Company here, died of an apparent heart attack yesterday shortly after being stricken in the office of his plant.
He was a Lincoln County native. He and his brother, the late Paul Camenisch, purchased the milk company about 20 years ago. He was an elder in Second Presbyterian Church here, was active in the Gideons organization on local and state levels, was former chairman of the advisory board of the Danville corps of the Salvation Army, and was a member of the Danville Airport Board.

Salvation Army Board Establishes John Camenisch Memorial Fund
The Advisory Board of the Danville Corps of the Salvation Army, at a meeting held Tuesday, voted to establish the John C. Camenisch Memorial Fund through which sufficient cash may be amassed to retire the debt of$5,000 on the Salvation Army Chapel on South Fourth street, spokesmen for the board announced today.
O. C. Seeves, newly-elected chairman of the board, presided at yesterday's meeting.
The move to establish the John C. Camenisch Memorial Fund was made, it was pointed out, because the late Mr. Camenisch had detinitely expressed his wish to retire this debt on the Salvation Army building as quickly as possible.
Prior to his death on Friday, Feb. 14, Mr. Camenisch, who had, been a member of the Advisory Board of the Salvation Army for m years, had suggested certain types of plans for wiping out this indebtedness.
In recognition of his long and devoted service as a memberand a former chairman of the Advisory Board, members at yesterday's meeting drew up a resolution citing that Mr. Camenisch, by his personal example of unselfish service to the Salvation Army and all other organizations in this community, inspired both the young and the adults to work for a better place in which to live, also that he gave of his time and substance in all good works here.
The establishment of the meemorial to retire the debt on the Salvation Army Chapel was viewed as a way of following Mr. Camenisch's example toward greater endeavor to render service in the local community.
