John M. Camenlsch Sr.
John M. Camenisch Sr., 62, of Boone Trail, died Monday at Hospice Care Center, Lexington.
Born Nov. 4, 1937, in Danville, he was a son of the late John C. and Anna K. Kissling Camenisch.
He was president the Boyle County Industrial Foundation and former owner of Swiss Sanitary Milk and Swiss Ice companies. He was a former deacon and elder of The Presbyterian Church and had been a second lieutenant in the Army. He was a former member of the Danville Board of Education.
Survivors include his wife, Pegi A. Gabbard Camenisch; two sons, J. Mel Camenisch of Lexington and Michael S. Camenisch of Chicago; a sister, Doris Strange of Tacoma Park, Md.; two brothers, Paul Camenisch of Wilmotte, Ill., and Bruce Camenisch of Lexington; and three grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at The Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Thomas K. Farmer. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Stigall, Dr. Sam Reid, Billy Barker, Mack Jackson, John Bowling, Jack Wallace, Ronnie Galloway and Nelson Rodes.
Honorary pallbearers are members of the Boyle County Industrial Foundation.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today at the church. Memorials ' may go to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 2312 Alexandria Drive, Lexington 40504-3277.
