A. H. (Jack) Laughter, 83, Medicine Park, OK, died Tuesday, September 8, 1992 in a Lawton hospital following a brief illness.
Mr. Laughter was born June 20, 1909 in Wingate. He was married
to Alma V. Bounds on August 29, 1931 in Hollis, OK. She died in
April 23, 1988. He moved from Wingate to Solano, NM and at the age of 15 moved to Portales. He later moved to Wellington in 1931 and lived in Pampa from 1937 to 1942. He moved to Medicine Park in
1942. He served in the Army during WW II from 1944-1946 at the Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland and came back to Fort Sill to work for Civil Service in field maintenance until his retirement in 1972. He was a member of the First Baptist Church where he was a deacon. He was a member of Lawton Lodge #183. He had served on the Medicine Park city council from 1969 to 1979 and had a park named after him.

Survivors include: one daughter, Dora Hilliary of Medicine Park; two sisters, Girthia Merrill of Prescott, AZ and Allene Marshall of Grants Pass, Oregon; two grandchildren, Jackie Hilliary of Ft. Smith, AK and Nancy Washburn of Medicine Park and five great grandchildren.
