Charles Foster
MASSENA - Last rites for Charles Ernest Foster, 71, were held at 2 p.m., in the Methodist church with the Rev. Norman Meyer of Griswold officiating and Mrs. Gerald Wollenhaupt served as the accompanist. Mrs R. F. Peel sang "Near to the Heart of God" and casket bearers were John Casey, James Follmann, Carl Hogan, Ronald Murray, Henry Ortgies, and Albert Warnaca. In charge of flowers were Mrs. John Casey, Mrs. Henry Ortgies, and Mr. and Mrs. Leon Jensen. Burial was at Victoria cemetery.
Mr. Foster was born November 23, 1896 at Hopkins, Missouri, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Aldon Foster and was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and a sister.
